Church demands apology from Sony
11/06/07 – Officials from the Church of England will demand an apology from Sony over the use of Manchester Cathedral as a backdrop in a violent PlayStation 3 game. They will make their request in a letter written to the electronics giant to chastise them for the building for appearing in the game, 'Resistance: Fall of Man'.
Media giants aim for online charter
Firms including Viacom, Walt Disney, Microsoft and Myspace are working together to establish a framework of guidelines that will protect the copyrighted online content. They intend to utilise technology to stop the rights of content producers being infringed on the internet.
IT skills "undervalued" in the UK
A survey carried out by Microsoft has found that at a boardroom level computer skills are still undervalued by major companies. The software giant questioned 500 UK business leaders and discovered that they rated IT knowledge as the seventh most important workplace skill.
