The blogging revolution

26/01/07 – More than 80 million people worldwide have online blogs. The study carried out by Universal McCann also revealed that China has the most bloggers with 25 million people using them.
The study spoke to 16,000 frequent web users aged 16-44 across 15 different markets and just under half of them said they have used a blog and a quarter said that they write one. China has more than double the number of bloggers than America and 5 million people blog in the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy combined.

People are increasingly using Blogs for many different purposes with everyone from your next-door neighbour to Victoria Beckham having one. The British glamour model Jodie Marsh used hers to dump her boyfriend after he allegedly cheated on her.

US band claims YouTube award

No PS3 price cut for Europe

25/07/07 – Electronics giant Sony has decided against reducing the price of the PlayStation 3 in Europe, despite its decision to cut the price of the console in the US. Instead of a price cut Sony will bundle free games and accessories with the PS3 in Europe.

06/07/07 - The identity of an anonymous blogger who has been writing a blog that ridicules Apple CEO Steve jobs has been revealed. The New York Times has reported that a senior editor at Forbes magazine Daniel Lyons is the author.
