Supanet delighted with new MAC code ruling

21/03/07 - The rules regarding broadband migration have changed and this has delighted Supanet who have seen a greater number of sign ups to their £7.99 per month broadband service.
It's one month since the broadband regulations changed and made it easier for people to switch internet provider and after all the waiting the results are showing a massive increase in sign ups to Supanet's broadband service.

Following the ruling Supanet introduced special offers for customers who are dissatisfied with their broadband providers and can now use the easier migration process to switch services.

Supanet have made it as simple as possible for customers to switch and anyone who migrates to Supanet can get their broadband for just £7.99 a month or get it with free anytime landline calls for £14.99.

David Hankinson, Sales Manager for Supanet, said: "We congratulate OFCOM on their decision to enforce the MAC code ruling, it's now easy for broadband customers to switch provider and we're reaping the benefits."

Prior to the ruling, broadband companies did not have to provide customers with a MAC code. This often resulted in long delays and loss of service which discouraged people from switching.

Hankinson continued: "Previously some companies with poor levels of customer satisfaction wouldn't allow their customers to change provider. Now all you have to do to switch to Supanet is call your internet provider, ask for a MAC code and call our sales team. They'll be delighted to switch you onto our £7.99 broadband.

"The great thing about offering broadband at this price is there are no gimmicks. You don't have to buy it with a different product, such as TV channels or a mobile phone, and the price remains the same throughout the contract so it doesn't jump up after a few months."
