December security update released

Microsoft has issued seven new security updates as part of its monthly patch distribution. The updates fix issues with Microsoft Windows (including Vista) and Internet Explorer.
Three of the patches are classified as 'critical', the most urgent that the company provides.

The other four are classified 'important', the second highest level of urgency.

They fix weaknesses in the programs that if exploited could allow somebody to take control of the application to alter and delete data.

The patches solve problems that can affect both PC users and Mac users.

All Windows users, including those with Vista, are urged to apply the update immediately.

This will enable them to download critical component updates, service packs, security fixes, patches and free upgrades to selected Windows components.
