Hi,
I have opened a new hosting account and want to redirect my domain (which I have registered through 1&1) to the supanet/pulse hosted site. What is the naming convention for the http redirection?
Thanks

Sorry,
What do you mean by naming convention for http redirection, are you asking about the DNS, which are
dns1.hosted.netline.net.uk (213.40.79.226)
dns2.hosted.netline.net.uk (213.40.79.227)
For further information please clarify the question. - Posted on Wednesday, 20th February 2008 at 12:07pm

Hi,
I have not transfered the domain to you so I have to provide a http link to 1&1 to redirect requestes to my hosted site - ie the actual point where the web site sits on your physical server. When I go to the 1&1 site I am asked to provide the following "Destination Forwarded (Frame Redirect) to : http://......
so I would guess that I have to provide something like: "http://www.pulsewebhosting/userid"
Thanks

Ok I got your question, to redirect you don’t need the http:/.. link that’s not how our system work, probably 1&1’s system redirects like that.
You need to change the A record by logging on to domain admin at 1&1 to the new IP address of your website which you can get by logging on to pulse web hosting account or web builder, It would be either 213.40.193.216 or 213.40.193.217
If you also want email through pulse web hosting then ignore the previous step and log on to domain admin at 1&1 and change the DNS to our
dns1.hosted.netline.net.uk
dns2.hosted.netline.net.uk
Which will redirect everything. Once you have change these details at 1&1,
It will start redirect in. about 12 hours. - Posted on Wednesday, 20th February 2008 at 4:59pm
