Media giants aim for online charter
Firms including Viacom, Walt Disney, Microsoft and Myspace are working together to establish a framework of guidelines that will protect the copyrighted online content. They intend to utilise technology to stop the rights of content producers being infringed on the internet.

A survey carried out by Microsoft has found that at a boardroom level computer skills are still undervalued by major companies. The software giant questioned 500 UK business leaders and discovered that they rated IT knowledge as the seventh most important workplace skill.
TV giants launch YouTube rival
23/03/07 – Two of America's biggest TV networks are going to combine and show their shows on a single portal to try and stop the rise of video-sharing sites such as YouTube.
NBC Universal and Fox will allow people to see their top shows and blockbuster movies on the site.
