Hi, I am struggling to upload pictures of properties that we rent out, they appear in the " view your website" but when its made live, they are not there & if I try to edit a picture, a blank box appears ? I think it may be to do with the directory or path .

The problem is due to an error in your image paths.

src="/i/propertypics/nla_logo.jpg"

propertypics isn't actually a folder/directory at the moment, it exists in the 'i' directory but it exists as a file and does not contain any images. To rectify this, log into your ftp within your control panel, go into the 'i' folder and then delete the file called propertypics. You must then create a new folder/directory called propertypics then go into this folder and re-upload the images. This should fix your problem.

Alternatively you could delete everything and try again in web builder.

Hope this helps.

There has been a problem with the web builder which we are working on. Within the 'i' directory there is a directory called 'propertypics' which contains one image. Until the web builder is fixed we recommend that you delete this file and directory so the 'i' folder is empty. Then go back tot he web builder, delete the images you have put on the page using the 'edit page' option then reload them. However, when you reload them this time, don't create a subdirectory just load them into the 'i' directory. This should fix the problem, we would have done this for you if we had the images to upload.

Sorry for this inconvenience.

Thanks, this seems to have worked.I am doing ok, but I am finding it a bit tricky to layout some text positions & stuff like that, also I would like to be able to add something to make the pics larger when you click on them, and buttons to link to pics of lounge, kitchen etc. per property. Is this something you can help with or is there somewhere I can get info on how to do all this. I looked at Frontpage, but seems a bit complex ? Thanks again.

Web builder is working fine and we have just tried update things on your site and it worked every time. Are you sure you are doing it in the right order?

When you make changes make sure you select, 'update this page' then 'Finish Website' (on the edit page screen) this will then take you to another screen where you then select 'make your site live'. This will update all changes to your site.

Re: Your earlier post about the actual layout and design, I'm afraid we don't support this, we only support the hosting side not development as well. The web builder is there to offer less experienced web developers a tool to create a simple site. If it doesn't offer you the functionality you require you may find an alertnative version on the Internet offering more capabilities or you can try and modify the code manually – however this will require good knowledge of html.

Sorry we can't be of greater assistance in this matter.

I have a similar problem with uploading images.
Tonight I uploaded 3 images to a new directory which I called 2. The pictures went onto my web page ok. I then click " update this page" then "finish website" and then when I preview site everything seems fine. I then click "Publish site" but when it comes up with "View your website" all I can see is the empty boxes with a small red cross in the top left corner.
Have published other pics on my site from my other director with no problems.
I know I am probably doing something dafy but I cant think what.
Can anyone help ?
Thanks.

We apologise about the delayed response, there has been a problem with putting images in a subdirectory within the 'i' and 'images' directory. This has now been fixed, please try and upload again and everything will be fine.

Sorry again for any inconvenience.

Still no difference. If I go to "Insert/edit image" and it then opens "Image Manager".
My original Directory is / ..... and in here there are a few pics I have uploaded to my site with no problems. I thought I would create a second directory which I called /2. I upload pictures to this directory then onto my webpage and on the "preview page everything is fine but once the site is published I can only see an empty box with a small red cross in the top left corner.
When I create the new directory does it have to be named in a certain way ?
