Thanks for the reply to my earlier query. I've now removed the sub directory and all the files, changed the title of my homepage so that it reads homepage.html, uploaded all the files once more - but can still only get the index of my website.
I am new to web site building and appreciate your patience. What have I done wrong this time?

- Change the homepage.html to index.html, that should sort it.

Thank you admin, just about there. need to change the links in all the other pages to get back to the index page....but, problem now solved.

Home secretary targets internet extremism
The home secretary has outlined plans to crack down on websites which promote extremism, in an effort to expose radical terrorism groups and prevent people from being led into them. Jacqui Smith says she'll use the technology to stop "vulnerable people" being "groomed for violent extremism".

16/03/2007 - The 34-year-old founder of Livedoor, Takafumi Horie, has been sentenced to two years and a half in prison for violating securities laws. Horie, who entered a not guilty plea and is expected to appeal, claimed that his trial was politically motivated.
