It seems that I have problems with Joomla installation. The session safe path is unwritable, which is something I haven't come across before. I had a good look to change the main configuration file, but it will have reverse effects later as different mabots will be installed.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks.

We think the problem is caused when Joomla is trying to save session data to file (possibly a text file) which doesn't have the correct file permissions set. Try and identify which file Joomla is trying to interact with, once this is known you should be able to go in to your webspace (via the control panel) select the file and then there is an option to change the file permissions.

Hope this helps, if not get back to us and we will see what more we can do.

I am aware to set certain config files on CMOD to 777. However, I have done several of these installations and have never come across this issue. Please read the following link:
http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,50977.0.html Is it possible to make the session path writeable.

Please advise. Thanks!

Try and change your config to save to '/var/tmp'. If this doesn't work I'm afraid we can't suggest anything else. We are unable to change our configuration as we need to maintain our security levels.

We hope this works for you and sorry we can't be of any further assistance regarding this particular issue.
