Uploading a website from MSN FrontPage 2003 to Supanet Hosti

#1 by stupot52graaah
I have designed a website/web pages using MSN Fronpage 2003 and am ready for publication.

I have puchased a domain name and web hosting package from Supanet...However, when trying to publish my Frontpage 2003 designed website to this remote site I get the following messages come up :

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Microsoft Front Page
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unable to open "http://supanethosting.com/
Server error. The Web Server at http://supanethosting.com does not appear to have Windows Sharepoint Services installed.

Possible Causes:
1. The web server may not have the FrontPage Server Extensions Installed.
2. The web server may be temporarily out of service
3. If you are connecting through a proxy server, the proxy settings may be incorrect
4. An error may have occurred in the web server

If the server does not support FrontPage Server Extensions, FrontPage may still be able to publish to the server via FTP or WEBDAV. Please select one of these options and try again

Does Supanet Hosting support the MSN Frontpage format ????

On another question, I have experimented with one of the supanet web design templates and even published one. [size=150:3bbavq26]How do I remove it ?[/size:3bbavq26] ....Currently if anybody clicks on my domain name they will find a site which I do not want there..

Anybody got any suggestions ??

I've just started to use the 12 month free trial and am using Frontpage 2003. I've also just published a small test site without problem. Supanet does not support FP extentions so I suspect either you've used something that requires them or you've not set up the FTP host, username etc properly. You can diasable the the extention option via Tools>Page Options> Authoring. FP gives some strange errors if you're not setting the host, username etc properly.

Hope this helps
