Hi,
I have installed a simple message board for my site and I keep getting the
following php error:
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function: gzinflate()"
According to a couple of forums I've looked at it could be caused by the
ZLIB library (gzinflate function) for PHP not being enabled. Clearly I
can't look at "phpinfo.php" myself so just wanted to know if the version
of PHP I have running on my site is over 4.3.0. If not, could it be
updated please?
Any help would be appreciated, many thanks in advance
FYI I've kept the page live here:

I have uploaded a phpinfo file for you to look over, it should answer all your questions:

Thank you,
Well it's clearly not a version problem. I'm a bit concerned that my bzip method calls are not the correct ones. eg bzip2.compress/decompress are quoted. I take it this is an enhancement, but you'd expect some sort of backwards compatibility. I also note that safe mode is in operation, i think this might have something to do with it since all my CHMODs are correct. Any ideas?

- Sorry ignore the bzip bit of my last post, am trying to do too much at once. The zlib stuff all looks correct too. I think it may be the safe mode that's the problem

- I'm afraid we can't disable safe mode as it plays a part in system security.

On this topic where it is incorectly put that safe mode is the issue, the real question is can you consider enabling zlib support in php? With this and a session save path in user space which you have enabled for others, it might be possible to get round the safe mode issue with Joomla and other off the shelf php packages driven by mysql.

Don't seem to have any record of you sending us your domain, did you use private messaging?!? We've enabled zlib support now, turns out we didn't need your domain name, you had already provided it in an earlier post.
